Synopsis

This book is to be regarded as a practical application of the issues mentioned volume I and II, which are relevant in many ways to a larger present-day society. While both volumes lay the biblical foundation of the prohibition of ‘open defecation’, this volume serves as a contextualisation of the OT pericope since it xii discusses the issues in a typical contemporary situation, i.e., the Ghanaian context. Chosen as the field to apply the stipulation of the OT, the discussions hope to bring to the fore, the challenges that ‘open defecation’ poses to the efforts towards sanitation in the country.
